I think most people run 22" rear and 23" front for the ground clearance.

same size that belongs on the DS for anything but TT amd MX - 23" fronts and 22" rears.
and my vote on what kind goes on Holeshot XCT 6-plys.
Holeshot is the also the only tire made to wrap the entire rim edge, leaving no rim edge protruding beyond rubber. this feature really helps prevent catching rocks on the rim edge.

I agree....they're the only tires I'll ever use in the desert

I am using 22"/23" Pure Sport Bandit XCT tires on my DS 650, and I had 22"/23" Holeshot XCT tires on my last DS 650.

With the rear tires, for traction on hard pack and in the rocks, the Holeshots are better. For lateral traction the Holeshots are better. For traction in sand, the Bandits are better. And so far they have been equally durable (no flats with any of them).

With the front tires, the Bandits are better, ... everywhere. The front Bandits get so much lateral traction that they take some getting used to. You had better not think about turning one direction, or you will have already turned that way (I have had no flats with any of the front tires either).

I would actually like to try a set of Bandit front tires and Holeshot rear tires. Now that might be a scary good combination.

I am running Holeshot 22" XCT rear and 23" HD in front. Those new HD fronts work much better than the XCT front as far as turning goes.
