For those who are loading the charging system with accessories, be aware of the 290Watt limit on the stator. This is about 20amps total. If you're like me and wire in extra accessories directly to the battery each with there own fuse, then collectively all the electrics could exceed 20 amps without blowing any fuse!

My stator went bad this weekend most likely due to heavy current draw.

Electrix USA might have a stator with slightly more wattage. Also, the fuel injected BMW F650 has a 400Watt stator.

Would a higher output stator such as the 400w one from the BMW F650 put more strain on the engine? Better question, would the strain be noticeable?
