i just picked up a 2000 scrambler 400 4x4 for the wife, its mint. the front tires are new and are dirt devils. the back are the stock and wore 3/4 .. so i want to but some tires on it for her.. it willl be all trail with the mud on the trail . i waz thinking of just putting DD on the back too. anyone have any other tires i should look at and what size should i run on it stock or go bigger... any help would be great

 

look at the mudsharks, blackwaters, bear claws. run 21 or 22

 

definately mudsharks...... i got some on in my pics and i can tell you that i was forging water up to my floorboards with a sandy bottom (it was in a river) they are great tires.!

 

just remember the 4x4 system. if the front tires are stock size ( 23 inch tall ) then you'll have to run 22's on the back. i have a friend that runs dirt devils on his 97 scram and he loves them. i guess it depends on your riding conditions. i think alot of guys i have seen are going to the ITP mudlites. i put holeshots all the way around mine and they are alot better than stock tread.

On a 4X4 the Mudlites are the way to go. 23X8X10 up front and 22X11X10 rear.
The Mudlite is a decent rear tire on a 2X4 too. Maybe with a Holeshot XCT front?

 

I would just get Dirt Devils for the back too because my brother has them and they are great trail and mud tires.
