Hi guys I'm not really knowledgable when it comes to the Predator, though I wanna ask a question or two about the TLD Pred.

When do the 05's come out? are they out.. ?
Is the close ratio trans geared to harder acceleration? I'm currently a Raptor owner, and might be in the area of buying a new quad this winter, and the new 05s caught my eye with reverse, a close ratio trans and over-all a couple years of trouble shooting under its belt.

Would I be disappointed dropping down to a Pred from a Raptor (I don't want stupid posts like, Raptors suck, they will be ignored), I've raced and beat a piped Pred before, though I am not all concerned about top speed in general, I just want an arm ripping pull off the line (thats why i wouldn't go for the base model)

...any input, answers, opinions are appreciated.

 

Go with the pred. The thing I like most about the predator is the durability. Its unlike any other machine. My friends all own 450's, raptors, 450r's. The thing thats so ridiculous about them is how they cant take the beating like the predator does. I ride with people that bend a-arms, steering linkage, skid plates. That reminds me the pred has a sweet super think plastic skid plate that just bends and wont break. Instead of breaking and replacing with aluminum that gets bent up into the sprocket. And if you do break something parts take half the time to get. Another thing it seems like the pred sticks to the ground a little better and is a little lower but with more ground cleareance. This is all I can think of right now. But you wont dissapointed I would say you might be astonished.

 

I'm having a hard time taking you serious......Correct me if i'm wrong!! In another thread you said that the Predaturd is a Ugly quad and they look like a bad lego project that you done when you was 10, and the plastic looks mangled. You also said that the Predator can not keep up with your Raptor! I would like to know why the change of heart in 2 days?

As for your question, no the 05 Predator is not out yet. The std. Predator should be out in a few weeks. And the TLD will be out the frist of Oct. (I hope.)

 

You're definately correct, I still think the plastics are ugly, and I'm not terribly concerned with drag racing it, more or less turning it into a woods quad.
