I did a 2.5 last weekend in a little over 2 hrs. That includes several redos like putting the roller fairlead on upsidedown- everything's gotta come back off. But hey- it's live and learn, right? It is a little tight soldering the red wire to the ignition switch. I feel like I did as good a job as the dealer and saved $50. It gave me a lot of insight on how my 700 is put together.

Is it required to pull racks and some of the plastic panels or at least to make it easier or not necessary at all?

front end and left side panel have to come off, but like the man said, it is good to learn what is under there.

I hear ya. No problems tearing into it. Just wanted to know what the project would entail.

Thanks for the info! :-)
