I have a 2000 sportsman 500 HO..I had a short (wiring harness from battery running under frame chaffed)
which ruined my speedometer.. I now have no AWD. The local dealer wants 349 plus tax which will run me over 400.. Is there a way to jump the wires so that awd will run off the awd switch?? Also any ideas on where to pick up a used speedo..Thanks in advance

 

put 12 volts to the grey wire and ground the brown.

 

Thanks all for the replies..Will let you know how I make out..Now will I still have on demand AWD or will this be change that?
