Anyone used Pure Sports Realtor rear tires?
#1
I have the stock rear tires on my just purchased scrambler 400. I am thinking that a new set of tires will be one of my best upgrades.
I am wondering if anybody has used Pure Sports realtor tire
realtor tire
I don't know if it will be the best setup for slidding the rear end, but I am kinda strapped for cash and the tire can be turned around to make a make shift sand paddle for the 4 times a year I would go to the dunes.
I've seen people use these in sand and they work real well. I will do some trail riding as well.
any and all help is appreciated.

The problem with realtors is that they weight soo much, and they are very hard to spin. For sand, sand tires work way better.....and for dirt/mud there are other tires that work better too. They take too much power.

thanks guys I guess you can't get something for nothing. I didn't even think about the weigt for the tire even though I was looking for lighter new rear rims. I guess it will be some gbc shredders or razors for the rear then. on some t9's or sand stars.

The weight will still kill you with light rims.....realtors are a bad idea, unless you have a lot of power......razors are great in dirt/mud...for sand, any tire anymore is good.

I put kenda klaws on my polaris aluminum wheels I purchased this spring. I ran them normal for hard pack up until tonight and I decided to reverse them so they have the pattern like this > so it will grab like a paddle somewhat as opposed to <.
After riding for about 2 hours tonight it is like a night and day difference. With them normal I would spin and have to feather the gas to get it to hook up on gravel trails and now I just hit the throttle and I get a little spin and then the front end will start to come up. When riding through corners I have to really try to get the rear to slide when before I would just barely shift my hips and the rear would move back and forth.
I am pleased with the hookup I have now and will probably not switch the tires back. I ordered mine from rockymountain atv and had them in 3 days. The rears are the 6 ply ones and are extremely durable so far from what I have experienced.
