Default Will just a "slip on" exhaust be effective for my 450R?

Hi guys. I was wondering because I'm strapped for cash so I can't afford a full system exhaust for my 450R, which I know would give good power gains. But, will just a slip on exhaust help a bit? I have the HRC kit minus the cam so I was contemplating between a good slip on exhaust or a cam? which should I get first? I would eventually get a full system exhaust but for now would a slip on give a decent power gain? Or should I go with the HRC or Hotcam stage 2 cam? I was leaning toward a slip on because I think the stock pipe with the HRC end cap sounds wimpy/tinny. Can someone help me out a bit!? LOL.

Dr.d's slip on has gotten great rviews on other forums, especially when added to a hrc or sparks cam. HMF is another quality product. They are definitely worth the money if you cant afford a complete pipe. There is an LRD pipe on Ebay right now for 187. check it out.
