Planning on putting a 300ex carb on a lakota. Anybody know jet settings and power gain???

 

is it a stock kota?

 

it is now, other than a clutch kit

 

what size is the 300ex carb? mine is way to big for my stock motor. i dont even have a pipe but i just ordered one and i need to talk to fst about a 330 kit or 350 if they make one

 

THE 300EX STOCK CARB IS 32MM. WHICH IS THE SAME SIZE AS THE KOTA. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE SLIDE AND ACCELERATION PUMP. WHAT PIPE DID YOU ORDER

 

i think you should just go with a mojave carb it would fit better and give you more power

 

NEWDUCK i thought about that but i have a couple 300ex carbs around the house and i think with i being a carb with the pump accelerator on it you'll get more throttle response instead of a standard cv carb. plus i do a lot of riding through water and mud so a clamp on would not work well. im sure ill end up going to a mojave carb but if i get results from this maybe not

 

The Mojave/ Lakota carb is a CVK- 34MM , If you go with the ex carb you will be dropping down to a smaller flow carb.

 

The kota stock is a CVK-32. Which is the same size as the 300ex

I thought it was a 34 but I have been wrong before [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I bought one from a klx300 bike for my wifes mojave and that might have been a 34? Oh well, good luck on the swap.
