02 650 Prairie Aftermarket Exhaust??? Did you end up buying Mikes Prairie for your Cousin? Or are you thinking you can run down the Coopster?~LOL. If I would have known I would have saved you the HMF Slip On I just sold on ebay! You know what I run and if you end up getting an HMF? dont forget to ask for the racer discount. You might also want to invest in some Front Springs. There are some on ebay and if you just send the guy an email Im sure you can pick them up for 120.00 with shipping. Best mod for the buck Ive done for riding up in your woods! Im coming up in two weeks and it maybe my 785 maiden voyage? If you can make it let me know? I will email or talk to you online before then. ~coop

I have tryed the slip on IDSX and now also have a procircut full system on my twin peaks, I realy like the pro circut so thats what I am using on my STP 800 project quad and I plan to change out the IDSX for another procircut system on the old prarrie.

I had an HMF on my 660 Grizz and hated it. It was so loud it was abnoxious, my friends hated it to, THe night I put it on I had my truck parked in the street and when I started it up in the garage it tripped the alarm on the truck. It did however make the old grizz run alot stronger but was just not worth it I put the stock pipe back on and sent back the HMF. I have not tried one since but I here the penland/HMF is a realy good pipe for power but not sure about the sound.

I have never heard a Pro Circuit but I hear they are a lot louder than any other pipe made for the P650/700. What is your thoughs on that cc1999?

After my experince with HMF I would find it hard to belive that its louder than an HMF pipe, however I have not had an HMF on anything but a 660 grizz and the procircut on the STP700 is much quieter than that one was . I can tell you it is louder and puts out a much deaper sound than the Supertrap IDSX I have on my P650 now, and I realy like having that stainless steel head pipe too. The procircut to me sounds the best of all pipe kits and slip-ons I have had though the years on various quads, I probably should not compair the sounds of single cylinder pipe kits from different MFG's to those that are on installed on V-twins but I can only coment on what I experienced first hand.

I with agree you cc1999,
The procircuit has one of the nicest sound, not to quiet, not to loud. Built of Stainless steel, excellent choice. I don't know if Muzzy has a pipe for the Prairie that would also be another interesting option. I don't know if Yoshimura and Diamond G Racing have there pipe ready, that would also be another interesting option. As for me, well, I bought the Big Gun signature series Mike Penland two and a half years ago. That was the best pipe available at the time. Had no problem with it. Had an accident last spring, another quad ran into my rear end and strap the pipe and rear rack. Big Gun only charged me half price for the exhaust telling me they offered a second chance to their customers in case of accident (even two years after purchase). I sure appreciated that one.

I have the hmf eco series. Very nice quiet pipe. Only slightly louder than stock with good sound and performance.

I would also recommend the Pro-Circuit. I had one on my '02 650 and really liked it all around. I also run a Pro-Circuit on my '04 700 as a result of good response on the 650.

I had the pro circuit T4 on my 650 also. It sounded awsome, a deep low rumble, but not obnoxiously loud. I still have the full system hanging on my wall. E-mail me & I'll give you a deal you can't refuse. bills@matrexmold.com
