Apparently, it is possible to pick a circular Kryptonite lock with a pen. I don't know what the big surprise is, because for years there has been a tool available that opens them just as easily as a key!

I'm one of the fools that bought one and thought they were as tough as "Kryptonite". Tough to break, not tough to pick.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

I have used Kryptonite products in the past plenty. I picked up another for the pool door the other day.....glad it was'nt a U lock. Good "heads-up" Reconranger!

Last week, the Star Tribune put a nice big article detailing how easy it was,and even had some pictures to show how to jam it into the lock, REAL nice of them to give a big heads up to all the crooks out there. On the plus side, Kryptonite is going to issue an updated lock that is supposed to be very difficult to bic, I mean pick !!

 

does that include those big heavy green ones that are like a cable?

 

up here in canada it was like on the news and everything and the guy did it like in 2 seconds
