Just changed the oil for the first time in my '05 400 Automatic, and I couldn't find any info on the required refill volume. I drained about 2 1/2 quarts out plus what was in the filter, and it took 3 fresh quarts to bring it back up to the full mark. I assume this is right. Anyone know for sure if 3 quarts is the recommended refill amount?

BWT, I LOVE the 400 so far. With the locking front, it will climb or go through anything!

Just came in from doing the same to my wife's 400. The book says 3.25qts. so you did it right. By the way, my dealer says to keep an eye on the oil level 'cause they sometimes have higher than normal usage until fully broken in. Great quad!
