Default why is my bike so loud????

i know this is an ATV forum, but i have a question about my 1990 kx 125. I pulled my bike completely apart, except for carb and engine, so i could do an extremely detailed pressure washing job. i pressure washed all the body parts, and i did the arbox, and boot. i havent cleaned the airbox since i got the bike in may; i cleaned my filter then oiled it up, and put all the parts together and back on. then i tried starting it. it started first kick, but it was LOUD!! It was also very crackly, and it sounded throatier like a 250. do you have any idea why it is so much louder now, then before i cleaned it?

i dont think it is the packing in the silencer, maybe, but i dont think so because i bought an aftermarket FMF silencer for it last month.

also, the throttle is a lot touchier, and it seems like i dont have as much wheelying power as i did before, is this a sign showing that i need to look at my top end?? could it be the powervalve? or do you think i need to replace a gasket or something, because the powervalve is leaking a little bit.

any help appreciated..

well i ordered 2-stroke packing for my blaster's silencer last night, do you think 1 package will have enough for 2 silencers?

any idea to the loss of performance??

Did you put in a new copper gasket when you put the pipe back on the motor? If it doesn't have a good seal, it could make it louder and also mess up the powerband.

it is only louder at the silencer, and i didnt take the pipe off, i only took the silencer off.

any other ideas? it does feel like the power band has changed though, it seems like i need to keep it at high rpms to get any power at all, and there isnt much of a midrange hit.

but, i did tighten my pipe up, because it was missing one bolt, so it was just attatched to the silencer, and to the cylinder. could this be the problem?
