definitely get 22", 22's are better for all bike, but NECESARY for the DS if you are at all serious about your duning. and not talking just drags, I'm talking duning, bowling, sidehilling, trails, everything.

8 paddles indeed, no more unless you do serious mods. I recommend EXTREMES, much less flex in the paddle, more durable under the weight of the DS.

straight of vee is up to you, vee definitely more fun in trails, straight better on the strip and in the huge bowls like ST. ANthony has. only vees coming in 22" is Edge and Sand Star - Sand Star is good tire but 4 lbs. heavier per tire than Edge, this is a big deal.

narrow rims for drags seem prefered, but for duning the widest rim I favor, less dome = better sliding IMO.
and .160 rims, .125 too thin

Speaking of rims, do you know where to get 10x10 rears? I have 20" sand stars and I like them, but they are really rounded because all I have are 10x8 rims.

bajaiowa,

I have custom douglas 10x10 rims from Fullerton Sand Sports - mine are .125s but perhaps he can order you a set of .190s or something. (Since you appear to jump farther, higher and much, much more often than I do!)

MrMeaner,

I agree with Hightower - 22" 8 paddle extremes, These should almost be standard issue for the DS. Sure other tires are good for certain situations, but these tires work so well for the average DS.
