Default Just Installed Moose Lift

For those out there that may or may not get the moose lift I hope this helps.

Great Lift!
1-10 Difficulty = (3)

Paid ($95.00)

Ok. I have a 03 Bigbear. Be sure to start on the front. The front took about 5-10min per shock mount lift. The back was a little more difficult. The directions said the front lift mount to top on shock and the back lift mounts to bottom of shock mount. The problem that occurred on the 03' is the bolts a little to long and it was hard to get in installing back kit to bottom of rear shock mount. On the top bolt I had to cut with a hack saw after installed so I could tighten all the way due to the way to long bolt hitting the aluminum housing on differential.

The back took me 2 hrs trying to figure out how the hell I was going to do this alone. Since the back lift goes on the bottom of shock mount the whole body collapsed to the frame once the bottom shock pin was pulled. I had to put a piece of plywood vertical under the rack to hold the body up. Installed top bolt first because it was way to long. The bottom bolt of lift installed 2nd and then jacked up frame to match up shock to new lift mount. The I had to hack saw...well used sawsall broke last blade then used hacksaw blade to cut the rest of the bolt off so I could tighten all the way (1/4").

The lift makes the bike look great. I gained top and bottom clearance. I a have a little more air in my stock tires but I now have 11.5" from ground to frame and a noticeable difference between tire and fender. This easy mod has given me the fever of adding more. One last thing you also get a cool moose sticker to put on your bike.

Next mod (wheel spacers).. then new 27" mudlights if I can clear mudflaps with out cutting off.

PS) Moose Utility Division if you read this. Please be sure to test your hardware a little more thoroughly.

It sounds like it would look nice. Do you have any before and after photo's ? I have heard mixed reviews about moose. People seem to really like their products...but their costumer service has been said to be lacking.

Hey people. Sorry for the late reply. I was working on putting 55watt reverse lights on back of my bear all day yesterday.

The moose lift is great after riding and messing around on my bike for a couple days after install. I will try and take some pic with the digital tonight if I get home before dark.. I have no before pic's on digital file.

Moose vs highlifter

I bought moose because it looked very simple compared to highlifter and also the price was cheaper. Highlifter just had way to many parts to deal with.

PS) My light install went great. I just hate drilling holes in my frame for grounds and drilling hole in my plastic for switch mount.
