just rode the King Quad..........power not that impressive

OK, Why not? the handlebars feel too low for me, ergo's are good other than the bars though, idle's pretty smooth, not as smooth as the twin's though, when stone cold, if you full throttle it, it will bog flat down until it warms up....handling is great though, my favorite feature is when you turn there is very little body roll, almost like a straight axle quad.......Power is weaker than I thought it would be though, not up to the hype...I know some will say let it get some miles on it, but truthfully there was two a the dealer, a red one and yellow. Not prototypes, and they are about like a slightly modded P650, they must have been de-tuned before release but, I'm telling you all the truth, both these King's would get BLOWN away by the Brute Force, As a matter of fact when they got to the dealer, the manager had one set up out of the crate and told one of the mechanic's (Walter) to, "Go get one of the Prairie's". He went and got my old camo 700 that I traded last Wed, (still hasn't sold it, waiting on title) they lined them up beside the shop and the manager was on the King of course and Walter was on my old 700 they took off and Walter jumped him, let off, let him get beside him he gunned it again and kept pulling him, It was really no contest, the manger needless to say was disappointed with the acceleration of the King, but the handling is the best of the IRS quad's......my bottom line opinion is this, If you want a comfortable IRS quad that handles really good with about the same power as a Pra. 650, then the King Quad is your machine........I don't regret buying the Brute though, after riding the King..........

I bought the KQ, and I will not argue that it doesn't have the hit like the BF. But what you said about the handleing, that is why I bought the KQ. I don't do many straight drags or even have many staight trails. But I do have a lot of twisty, off camber, tight corners trails. I like to go fast on trails, and I feel it will take to much money to put into the BF to get it to handle like the KQ. Plus, I think the bars are perfect. Low and aggressive. I will put the KQ to the test at this weekends GNCC race.

I think I'll just tack my report on here if you don't mind. I had a chance to ride a friends KQ yesterday, I put about 15 miles on it and we switched back and forth. My first impression was that this was a nice looking quad, better than my P700 anyway. Fit and finish seems good. The KQ fired up immediately with no hesitation and settled into a smooth idle. I was impressed with the lack of vibration for such a big single. I did not notice any hesitation when going wide open from a stop, when I rode it was fully warmed up; I also did not experience any other hesitation at any rpms as some have mentioned. The handling was the best I have felt from an IRS quad, much better than my old Grizz. Just as STAKK said there was very little body roll in corners but still a nice ride. The KQ tackled all the hills and trails we could throw at it with no problem. I really liked this quad. The only thing that disappointed me was the power and I think that was only because I had really high hopes for this engine. I love Suzuki bikes as they always bring it in the motor department. Please don't misunderstand me this is a very strong motor I was just hoping it would walk all over my P700. What we found was that with me on the P700 I would usually just eek out a bike length. Keep in mind I'm 340lbs. With me on the KQ and 200lbs friend on my P700 he would pull me by 3 lengths. This was not scientific testing by any means just a couple of guys in a pasture so take it for what its worth. All in all I think Suzuki has a very nice quad on their hands and one I would be proud to own. I don't think at this time I am willing to part with my P700 for one as I have come to love the sra but for those of you in the market for an IRS quad give the KQ a look. Just for everyone’s info I have not ridden the BF750 so I have no comparisons for you in regards to it

Mudmagnet, I bought it at Thompson's in Huntsville Tn, ask for Aaron, tell him Danny Phillips sent you, 423-663-2600 or 663-2222..... I have bought a few bikes there and do alot of business there so I got a good deal, I don't want to say because I traded in my 700 but he will give top dollar for a clean trade in He has 4-5 Brute's if you want to check them out....Yes I plan on being at Windrock next weekend for the fall Poker run......let me know waht you drive and ride and we'll try and hook up.........Report as of yesterday on my Brute....I put Maxxis wheels on it that set out 1.5 inches farther than the stockers, along with Badlands radial's and the body roll (tippyness) is all but gone........very close to the King now in handling, King is still slightly better but the offset wheels made a HUGE difference in the brute........

I thought the same thing about my Brute, it's got nice power but it's not all THAT. I put the Dyna FS CDI box in it and now it's almost to where I'd say 'wow'. Now it will wheelie in high without my trying, I'm 300lbs, but it wouldn't before the box.

If the brute doesn't wheelie when its stock then you have your suspension on the soft setting. Crank it up to the hardest setting and look out!!! It still rides not to bad, more like an SRA than an IRS. I don't think the ride is all that great for an IRS but its a little better than my old Praire.
