Default Maxxis Razr Rear Tires 4 or 6 ply???

What should i go with 4 ply or 6 ply. 4 ply is probably a little lighter 6 ply is stronger tho. I do alot of trail riding so im thinking of going with the 6 ply but hows the 4 ply. Does anyone have 4ply on their quad. How are they? Are they strong? guys let me know because im going to order then from rocky mountain atv. The difference is only $8 for the 6 ply so i dont care thats not a big deal.

I have the 4plys on my kfx and ive roosted up barbed wire and everything else you could possible find in the ground. Most likely if your gonna get a flat is gonna be from something that NOPLY tire can handle. From my experience theres not as much of a difference between the two as you would think. However if you know your gonna be in some nasty stuff then you might as well just get the 6 ply anyways. Neither are a light tire to begin with anyway.

I have had both. What I have found is the 6-ply tires will hold a plug better.

I would go 4 ply. I have ran alot of different tires and always had better luck with a softer tire. The softer the rubber the better hookup you get in ice/snow, roots and slippery rocks. Furthermore, the tire will ride better and flex more - which makes more surface contact with the ground.

As for the flats - I run tire sealant in all my tires. This gives you the best of both worlds in the fact you get the benefits of a softer, more flexible tire and aren't plugging it all the time.

IMO the only downfall is if you run alot of roads, the softer tire will where out much faster.

if your riding trails alot go with the 6 ply. if you want a lil softer ride the irazr's are radial instead of bias. i wont know till tommorrow how they are though
