04 rancher 350 starts hard...
#1
my owner's manual says to put the warmed up idle speed at 1400 +/- 100 rpm, but when i set it this high it starts hard when cold. i put the choke on and dont touch the throttle, but it just seems to fire a couple times and i have to crank it for a while before it will finally start and run on its own. anybody else have this problem? i'm wondering if the idle mixture is not right...
oh yeah, one more thing, the air has been about 40-50 degrees lately, if that means anything...

Hello quicksilver.Ive also got the o4 es 2x4.Mine is a bear to start below 60-65 degrees. But on the left side of your carb, there is a primer bulb.Similar to lawn mowers.Mine has to be primed three or four times and then apply the choke to start.Give this a try.Ive never owned a honda before and polaris doesnt even have a primer bulb.Scott.
