Default Bruteforce exhaust pipes

I got two bf 750 one has 300 miles on it and the other one has 1,000 miles on it. While me and my son were out riding yesterday evening, we were coming up a hill running about 5-10 miles an hour in low gear. I looked back and noticed that his exhaust pipe was glowing red. I got off and checked mine and it was glowing red too. Is anyone else having problems like this? I asked my dealer today and they don't know. The mechanic said it was thin exhaust pipes. Nothing to worry about. But this don't look good to me.

Default Bruteforce exhaust pipes

This has been reported by other BF owners...do a search on this and other atv forums and you'll see what I mean. I seem to recall that the problem is in the carbs...its jetted too lean. I seem to recall that some have a miss in the motor at low speeds caused by the front carb needle being too small...the fix is to install a richer needle in the front carb (some are also installing richer main jets). You should see if you can get your dealer to upgrade the needles and/or main jets so that it does not run too lean (which causes overheating if extremely too lean).

Happy trails...

I just bought my bf 750 and noticed the same thing that my pipes were red hot. I was worried too but now i know that others do the same. I am now saving up to buy the HMF full system exhaust i hope it doesn't do the same.

This is not normal and it definitely is a lean condition. As I said in another post, I had a GOOD delera replace my front carb needle, adjust the choke cables, and richen both carbs and the bike is running better than ever.

Get these items taken care of ASAP, glowing red exhaust pipes are NOT good!

When you took the bf back to the dealer did they do it for free. If not how much did it cost.

All for free, Kawi considers it warranty work.

My FST 800 was doing the same thing. Even with aftermarket needles, we had to increase the main jets.
