don't forget Wetlands from Ducks Unlimited. Made by ITP. I have ATR's. I love them but I would probably go with these Wetlands now.

I have 25" ITP ATR's and they seem to be a good tire, smooth ride ,good on corners but on blacktop around 45mph I get some shimmy. The ITP cost less than the Bighorn and the ITP was the only radial in stock in my area is why I got them. I am still running stock rims but if I go aftermarket it will be ITP c-series 5 for me. Good luck on which ever you chose.

I am getting ready to buy some black series4 and Holeshot ATR's. I have ridden a P650 with the Bighorns and a P650 with the Holeshots. The Bighorns are not as smooth of a ride, but seemed to be a little better in the mud. I usually go around the big mudholes, so I am going with the Holeshots. Personally, I just liked them a little better but my buddy swears by his Bighorns. I did read a post about the High Lifter Lites, and the rider was not pleased with the durability. As usual, it comes down to what you like.

shimmy is a problem on the larger, big lug tires.....I've got 3 sets of tires, the stock Carlise 26", which don't shimmy, then I have two sets of 27" tires/wheels, the ITP 589s and Mudlites, both sets mounted on ITP Type 5C wheels, both sets shimmy at above 40 mph....we put them on the spin balancer...can we say 'out of round'...thats the problems on those larger tires with big tread....doesn't happen on all, I want to experiment with front springs, but limited on what i can get for my '05 Polaris 700 EFI.....

If anyone has other good recommendations on 27" tires...let me know....

dave

I had a set of 26" mudlites on itp c series on my rancher and there was no shimmy at top speed of about 50 mph.

thats good to know....i heard of others that had 25" Mudlites with no shimmy, but haven't found anyone yet without the shimmy on 27" tires....we balanced them, which helped some.....they don't shimmy much, just alittle head shake....and it doesn't get any worse when going faster....when I get over 60 I can barely notice it...

My 25" ITP ATR's are not large tires and other people have had this same problem with ITP ATR's.
