Default General 2 Stroke top end rebuild question

I just got my 20 over Wiseco Piston Installed on my 01 Trailblazer and i got a lot of slack side to side when the piston slides on the wristpin is this normal? I sure dont want to buy another cylinder if it pukes PLEASE HELP FAST!!!!!!!!!! James

Thumb of rule for piston the cylinder wall clearance is .003 to .005 thousands. Sounds like you might have more. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Sounds like maybe somebody bored out the cylinder before you or you have the wrong sized pistom. Have you measured the cylinder?

OH! yall misunderstood or i just didnt explain myself good enough I dont have the cylinder on yet and i was checking the piston moving it side to side on the rod without the cylinder on ! James

Without the cylinder on you will have extra play thats fine. If it is still there when the head is on then there is a problem

I know the bore is right I took the piston when i had it bored I just didnt know how much play i should have with the cylinder off!! Thanks James

Are you talking play between the piston and wristpin(the sliding back and forth slack?)???? If so, it is supposed to move, but I don't know how much. This should have nothing to do with you cylinder, by the sounds of it........should have to do with you wrist pin, piston, and the little C-clips that hold the piston on.......
