Default WIRING

Anyone have a simple wiring diagram for just the essentials to start and go. No lights, starter, engine temp, fan, etc.

im not quite sure but i know that to get power to the ignition with out the key u have to take a wire from the positive battery terminal to teh solid red with a white stripe wire in the ignition switch. run the wire from the battery and quick splice it into that wire first then try it and see if it works then u can start to take things off.

Ive got nothing on mine except, for the ignition part of the stator, the 3 wires that lead from that to the cdi, and the coil. I also run a mechanical temp gauge. And use a 12v cordless grease gun battery to run my tach

Schweew... its been many months, and miller lites ago since I did it. I think the charge coils are screwed to the stator plate. I just removed them and pulled the wires out of the harness. pluged the 3 prong plug from the stator back into the cdi, and ran the blue wire from the cdi to the coil. Theres also a brown wire from the stator that needs to be grounded.
To shut it down, put a switch in the black wire (cdi) that will ground to the frame when closed. The blak wire is also where the tach hooks
I think this is rite, but id have to look to be sure.
