High Octane Fuel for Scrambler 400
#1
I was wondering if I could run Aviation gasoline 100 oct. Low Lead (100LL) its cleaner and burns hotter, however it does have lead in it. Can I run this through my Scrammy 400 4X4? I know the pro's use high octane, usually from 110-130, but they mix oil with it, will my oil-injection be sufficiant with 100LL? I have also heard people mixing Jet A Fuel in the gasoline, is this a possibility? I just done't want to burn it up or anything, so I thought I'd ask you all to make sure.

Jet fuel, bad idea.
Av gas, you need to jet for it, its not a gas and go.
Unless you are running higher compression than stock, you wont see any performance gains.

Do you have any mods dont to it? ..... If you dont have much done to it, it probably wont be worth spending the extra money for av gas .... I run 110 in mine and money goes out the door really quick ...

What is everyone running for octane in their 400 with a 12-1 dome. We have 91 here in Vegas. My hearing isn't that good anymore so I mix 1 gal of 100 to 3 gal of 91. Which is a pain because if you run out you can not just stop anywhere and buy the 100 to mix with. Has anyone had any problems with just straight 91. I think that most of you back east have 92 instead of 91 don't you?

I have never really heard of running this av gas(other than in the post running around here somewhere).........we all run VP fuel through ours.........Higher octane isn't always power either, it usually doesn't hurt power, but sometimes doesn't increase it either.......it does seem to burn cleaner though.
