I called my dealer today to inquire about the extended warranty, if it was offered and how much. He told me that yamaha had just released a bullitan about it. There is going to be a extended warranty offered. My cost.. $455 more on top of purchase price of $6610 otd. I asked if that was a flexable figure or not..... he said that alot of dealers do a large mark up on that for greater profit and that they were supposed to charge $600+ for it. They don't use the warrany to make extra profit ( I am sure they are making money on it..... but not near as much as they could! ) I think for the additional money I am going to get the warranty. Although if I wanted I could wait and purchase later for the same price *IF* it was befor the factory 6 month one expired. Once the factory one expired I could not purchase it.
