I really miss quads, and I want to get another one, but I don't have a lot of money nowadays, so I came up with the blaster. Sounds like a good quad, cheap, fast, 2-stroke, and you can add a pipe and silencer and make it much better. I'm 6'4, 210 lbs, do y'all think it would be good for me? I'm a good rider, is the blaster really a fun quad? I just want something thats fun, and reasonably quick. Please give me some info!! Thanx.

Im 6' 5" 200 lbs and the blaster is a little small , but not uncomfortable. its a fast little trail bike and handles really good, you can really toss it around. with just 2 or 3 hundred bucks you can really wake up the motor, the stock expansion chamber and pipe/silencer really suck. Its a good little bike ive got a 2000 model and i ride prolly 10 - 15 hours a week and ive had no problems at all. You'll prolly want a set of aftermarket tires, given the stock ones arent too great, the bike is a very nice quad for the money... One thing to remember, the brakes arent that wonderful, the rear disc will lock up the rears if you keep it adjusted right, however the fronts are a different story. You can get a aftermarket set of hydro front brakes for around $175 to $300. Not required just optional. All around, I love my blaster!

Thanks for the info! Sounds like the Blaster is a good choice for a fun trail quad. Have you changed your pipe and silencer yet? If so, what did you put on? Also, did you disable the auto oil injector, or did you leave it be? Thanks again!

I have a FMF Fatty Pipe and a FMF Power Core II silencer, i also removed the snorkel. I didnt disable to AutoLube Injector b/c of its convience, Its awfully nice to be able to pull up to the pump and fill w/o worrying about mixing, ratios, etc etc. I will probably , and i would recommend to you also, that after you have it for a year or so to remove the oil injector, everyone one of my friends or associates that has a blaster, their oil injector failed within 2 years of buying. repairs like that are toooo expensive.

Having owned several bikes in the past. I bought two blaster this summer for me and my girlfriend and let me tell you. I love it. I purchased both used and they are really nice. My bikes has the injector still on it while hers does not. Don't believe the myth. I have had a three wheeler for over 15 years with an injector and no failure yet, I just keep it serviced and I will not be taking it off of the blaster either. In stock form the blaster is a mediocre bike in terms of performance however I beat my buddies 250X/300 EX all the time. I can even keep up with another buddies Q-racer. I don't have any mods yet, but will do full porting and pipe this winter during the down season. Regardless of price the blaster is an awesome bike. Note I don't get a chance to ride as much as others perhaps 14 or 15 hours a month but, I have yet to have problems with the brakes on one of the bikes but would suggest the hydraulic brake kit from Kasea not Trinity.

i would say the only thing that would make if feel to small to be comferable would be the front fenders, either shave them or take em off.

Your a bit too big for a Blaster. Around 5'10" and 180 pounds is the fun limit. Over that, and it's still a blast, but a bit cramped and the suspension will have problems with the extra weight.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I'm pretty much set on getting a Blaster now. I've been researching it a lot, and with all your advice, I'm sure I will enjoy it. Just out of curiosity, what did y'all pay for your blaster?
