I have a chance to get a complete 02 CR250 top end(minus piston) and crankshaft for CHEAP!!!! I was just curious if it's possible to mate the cylinder and crankshaft to my 85 ATC250R cases?I just want the '02 cylinder for the powervalve. Does anyone know if the cranks are interchangable, cause mines toast?!!!

oh its been done. I think you use a r krank (trx). Not shure how though. Ask the dabeechman he will know that one.

 

Thanx for the replies. I remember a few people doing it back when I used to read the forums, but can't remember who. I know that there is a company (MP Racing, I think) that mated a CR500 top end on TRX bottom end, so I know it's possible. Just want to know if it would simply bolt-up or if I need to machine the cases to accept the cylinder. I'm mostly interested in the crank though, they look pretty much identical from the angles I saw in the pics, but not sure.

 

ftz racing does it . They block off power valve.
