whell spacers, bolts not fully on new nuts...ok or not a good idea?

Hey, I got wheel spacers for my wolverine and they are on the rear but the bolts they came with arent quite long enough. the nuts are most of the way on but the threads dont come out the other end. Is this a real bad idea or ok to use for a while till i find the right bolts? also, the new bolts arent tapped into the hubs like the old ones so any sugestions on how to get the bolts tightened because I cant get the wrench between the disks and the rim. I was thinking take the hubs and disks off then put the bolts through the hubs and use a clip to hold the bolt and the spacer on then put the disk back on the hub and the hub back on the shaft. what do you all say?

no they arent i got them on ebay. they're aluminum block spacers. it came with bolts but they need to be a little bit longer then they are for the nut to fit completely on there arent threads coming through the entire bolt when it is tightened down. It is about 3/4 of the way on and they are torqued nice and TIGHT but i wasnt sure if I have to worry about the bolts snapping or somthing like that in the short run. I will get new bolts when i get a chance but i want to ride this weekend and dont have time to find the right ones

Usually when the bolt is just flush with the top of the nut ( all the way) then thats considered safe. Any longer and its a waste , and any shorter and its not as strong. Are you using the original lug nuts? Usually the wheel is held concentric by the lug nuts, locating in the wheel countersunk holes. Youve got to get the wheels running concentric with the axles.
You should be able to find the right metric bolts at Home Dump, or other hardware stores.
I wouldnt do any jumping or hard landings on those shorter bolts, but for just mild riding...it shouldnt be a big deal.

I know you're not racing but......most racing specs call for at least 2 threads showing past the nut.

If you say you are 3/4 of the way on, you really arent that far on due to the last 1.5-2 threads being incomplete threads. I would get the longer bolts before you ride. This is that ounce of prevention that could prevent a wreck or have the nut loosen up and slot your rims. Not a good idea.
