typical Dealer bullsh*t,
did not stock the parts (axle seal,) or the rear shock, it would be special order.....
the dealer said if it is special order, I have to put down a deposit on it.
I said: no-no...%*@# !........I am not ordering these parts for my own enjoyment .....YOU order it for the waranty work !!!!
dealer said: what if you (the customer ) do not return to have it fixed I get stuck with the parts ?
Me: look the ATv is 2 weeks old (9.5 hours 60 miles) ... belive me I want to have it fixed ASAP.

dealer: you must leave the ATV here for the weekend ( as a security) this way the pats will be installed as soon as it come in. als what if all the oil leaks out and something happends to the gear and bearings?
me: not possible, I will be back 9AM monday and leave the ATV for the whole week for you to fix.

Ps: their first question was : did you buty it here ? did you hit something that could have caused the damage ? bent shock , leaking axle seal.

I can't belive they gave me such a hard time about it and actually not wanting to order the parts.
they may not warranty the shock thinking yamaha may say: the plastic will not rub through the metal shock body.

I am kind of pissed , I hope yamaha will send me a "customer satisfaction survey" on the dealer work!!!!!!

 

jeez, i know dealers can be picky, but come on. alot of times it seems as though they don't care. they treat you like gold until you buy the machine. and yes, to not stock parts on the kodiak, a rather popular machine, is BS.
