alright it ran fine before i started playing with teh jetting...then i went to a 180 with the needle as lean as it can go and it just bogged..change the needle to the middle and still did the same...went back to a 170 which i had wen it ran fine adn put the needle back to where it was wen it ran fine and changed the spark plug adn it still just bogs..whats wrong with this stupid thing??

OK, go back to the basics. Start with the needle in the middle position and start with the larger jet. A bog usually means it is too lean. The weather here is pretty darn cold compared to what it was 2 weeks ago. You might have to go up a size on the pilot jet too. That will help the overlap from idle and part throttle.

are you sure you are back to the settings you had when you started?
if you are, then something else is wrong, like:
- the Diaphragm is torn
- could be the washer on the jet if it had one
- you changed the float
- you have a fuel flow problem getting to the float bowl
- you fouled your plug
- you have an ignition problem
if it is bogging, do you mean right when you first hit the throttle....that would generally mean there is not enough gas, the needle could possibly be too low or the main jet is too small, but doesn't always work this way, you can kill it from the beginning of throttle with too large a main jet and the needle too high....
if you are back to what you had stock, i would look for some other problem..

ya wen i punch the gas it just bogs to a die almost then if u keep holding it through its bog it will eventually start to accelerate. so maybe if i go back to a 180 which is 1 up from wat i have now and richen everything way up then see if it will run????

i put the 180 in and moved the clip all the way rich an teh air/fuel all teh way rich and it still bogs but not as bad.. im runnning a 30 pilot u think thats to lean??

i was thinking it was way to rich buttt wen i pulled teh plug one of the times the plug looked brand new and only had a lil black on half of it..so its prob lean i will step up tolike a 37 pilot or so and see if that does it..u thinki should get a 185 jet too??

just go and get a set of jets instead of buyin one at a time, its the easiest way to do it. they are cheap. instead of buyin brass ones u can always get plastic to make it even cheaper. mine were 2 bucks a piece. and the brass ones i have were only 4 and thats not bad at all. i would say get a 190, and a 200 and maybe a 195 and a 185. your gonna use them anyway if u ever get race porting done.
