according to bombs site, the viper weighs 470, and the baja weighs 495.
i dont suppose anyone has weighed there stock machine?
i know there are a ton of numbers flying around (supposed loss of 20... i dont think the standard version DS weighed 490? )
and i dont see 20 lbs coming off the baja seeing as how they added MORE to it this year (nerfs/skids etc)
i cant decide between the two...i love the baja i have now, but if i can save anywhere near the 1k difference in msrp, i think ill just go nuts with some powdercoating and possibly some efi

I think it was Sandman430 that put his DS on a pretty strict diet and stripped allot of unnecessary stuff off it, after all his work he thought that he probably took ~20lbs off or more and still weighed at 490lbs I believe wet. The numbers from bomb may be dry numbers and maybe a few pounds lost in that silly canadian metric system conversion.
