I'm not sure but I think it's arround the 15 hp range !

 

when i got mine about a year ago, the papers i got said 18.5

 

Thats warrior territory, so I'll have to say thats a mistake.

 

I dont know what the rating is on the sportrax 250ex. I bought my godson one a couple or three months back..It gets stronger and stronger as it gets broken in. My foreman 450 is only rated at 14 hp. I installed the performance kit that was suppose to pick it up to around 21`hp on the dyno...all I know is that the 250ex will walk circles around me, my 350 rancher and a couple weeks ago a suzuki 500 vinson couldnt out run it on dirt roads with a full grown man riding it! They will surprise you.. The hp numbers really dont mean anything, its the usuable torque and hp that counts i guess..The 250ex is enough to scare me!

 

When I had my 300ex, the dealer said 16-17hp. So I agree with maddog.

 

The 2002 Buyers Guide of ATV Sport has the 250ex hp at 11.9 at about 6.5 rpm. (rpm x 1000) The 300ex is 13.6 hp at 6.5 rpm. (rpm x 1000) The Warrior at 18.3 hp.

 

Coyotechaser, those numbers sound right.

 

I can't see the warrior having that much more power than the 300ex if any at all !

 

Another example- the 400ex (in 2002) was listed as having 26.5 hp.

One more- Banshee had 40.5 hp at around 6.8 rpm x 1000.
