spoke with a guy who says that the phoneix was completely designed by polaris and subbed out to the Taiwan company to build while they are changing over the old pwc plant and that if they sell as well as they think they are going to that they will move production there. he also said that polaris did not build it to replace the Trailblazer just to take its place in there line up at the 3000.00 price point and that a new 4-stroke 250cc pred would be unvailed for next year to replace it..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] the guy who told me this stuff was a polaris dealership owner any one else here these things??

 

I do not know if you are still on the forum or not since you posted this ages ago. I have a 2005 Phoneix and have had nothing but trouble with it. It is hard to start and is always backfiring after it runs awhile. It has a real problem of flooding also. I would like to know what factory recalls their are on this unit. Can you find out?

 

go to your dealer , and ask for the upgrades new spark plug , snorkel upgrade , spring on shifter all this was done free on mine , also i had them upgrade the throttle control to an 06 version ......
