Default putting kickstarter back on

to make a long story short, my kickstarter fell off and i am trying to put it back on. i have the little black rubber gasket, a spring, ball bearing, and the screw to put the kcikstarter in place. I am pretty sure i know how to get the ball bearing in, but the screw will not go into the kickstarter. the screw will only go in when i have the kickstarter off the engine. also, i have no clue where the spring goes. any help will be greatly aprecciated.

i don't own one so i can't be of much help, but i think your best bet would be to buy a manual for it or maybe just look at a diagram on the internet.

ps thats why hondas suck...JK. I actually own 2 hondas lol.

try calling a dealer, or going to one and askin to take a look at their service manual for the bike. the autodecompression device attatched to the kick starter is like a swiss watch, i wouldn't start putting springs in places they don't look like they belong.

the spring goes in first!!! otherwise it would be pushing the ball to the bottom of the hole, and the ball would do nothing. put the spring in set the ball on the spring slowly push the two pieces togeather which will compress the spring. install bolt. now swivel the parts there should be a deffenet click when the ball drops it the dendent in the housing. also if you put the ball in first the spring grind down the kickstart housing and ruin it.
