<FONT face="verdana, arial, helvetica" size=2>You can use the following instead of Polaris brand oil.
2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O.
Engine Oil: Amsoil AFF, 2 quarts
Front Diff: Amsoil TGR, 4 ounces
Transmission: Amsoil TCC, 1 quart
Drive Hubs: Amsoil STL, approximately 2 ounces per hub (I put it in with a syringe and seal the drain plug threads with Permatex PN 59214. Clean the threads on the plug and drain hole with a Q-tip and isopropyl alcohol before reassembly with the Permatex.)
Amsoil Formula 4-Stroke OW-40 (AFF) = Polaris 0W-40 Premium Synthetic
Amsoil Series 2000 Synthetic Chaincase Lube (TCC) = Polaris Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant (AGL)
Amsoil Series 2000 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil (TGR) = Polaris Front Gearcase Fluid
Amsoil Shock Therapy Light (STL) = Polaris Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid
Amsoil SDF13 Super Duty Oil Filter = Polaris PN 3084963

Quick question, is there really that little of an amount of oil in the fron hubs? The manuals all say fill and place hole at 4:00 or 8:00 and when it stops draining plug the hole. I opened mine a while back and they were empty, I think I may have placed way too much oil in mine. I think maybe I should replace it soon.
