Default adjusting front suspension on 03 ds650????

I have an 03 viper red ds650. it feels like when im taking a turn my front suspension will dip really low. say i am taking a tight left turn, the front right of my machine feels like its dipping really low and vise versa for the other side. it feels like the shocks are way to soft. is there anyway to adjust the front suspension to help get it so the suspension doesnt compress so much when i turn????

Generally the front end should drop 2-4" when you sit on the quad. Its personal preference for the most part, but you can preload the springs by turning the threaded spring rest higher up on the shock. This will make the front end stiffer but will reduce the dipping action you are talking about. To get the best of both worlds, aftermarket shocks with full adjustment are the way to go.

I have seen on videos on youtube...where some people took there front shocks off and flipped them then put them back on....where the top of the shock is now on the a arm not the frame....any input on that??? Does that help any? What is the point of that?

I don't see any point in doing that other than looking dumb. A shock is a shock regardless of whether it is right side up or upside down. To the original poster you need to add more preload to your front shocks if the front end is nosediving. You do this by jacking up the front end (tires off the ground) and rotating the large preload nut on top of the shock. Make sure each side is set at the same distance. You will need to experiment with preload amounts until you get it where you like it for your weight and riding conditions.
