I need a set of 4 tires to put studs into for racing. The racing I will be doing is a harescramble race that is 1 & 1/2 hours long. The race is in NJ in February. The track is mostly flat and about 4 miles long with alot of turns. There is always alot of water on the track. This means in Feb. the track will be frozen solid.
What 4 tires should I use to put studs into for this race?
Also what is the best studs to use for this race?

Do Turf Tamers work good? They look like they have alot of knobbies to put studs into.

 

try the cheng shin tires i hear that they are good for ice racing

it isnt realy the type of tire that works well its the compound. anytire with at least a 4 ply rating will go very well. 2 ply is ok to, but the softer compound doesnt like studs as much as the higher plys

 

The compound is extremely important, but if you dont have a good pattern of tread to get good screw coverage the hard compound wont do you much good.
