Default Purchased new Recon today. Did I do good?

I just got a new Recon with the hitch and 4 1/2 years of full warranty coverage for $3,800 out the door. It was an 04 model so they took some money off, plus I got double rebate from honda because it is an 04 and I got a fixed 6.9% 4 year loan with no money down at a payment of $91 a month. Did I get a good deal? I just drove it around nice and easy with me and my buddy on it and it had way more than enough power. I am going to pay it off in 2 years or less. I hope I did good and wish me luck with it!

BTW it isnt the ES model so I shouldnt have the shift problems right? With the lights on the dash.

2004 Recon 250 Manual Shift 2wd Red, Yellow, Green $2899.99*

I have the 250ex and it has the same engine as the recon I've been told and it has plenty of power. I think you will be happy with it.

I am waiting on the new '05 Foreman 4x4 ES to come out. There are a few out but not many and they sell as soon as the store gets them. Most of the larger Honda dealers only got one I was told and most of them were Olive green. I want the Red one! They are supposed to be coming out the middle of December.

So $3,800 out the door with a 5 year warranty, hitch and everything wasnt to bad? They wanted $3,500 for a 05 with no hitch, no warranty or anything. If I had gotten an 05 with the same stuff it would have been about $4,200 OTD.

Are you located in Canada?

The Recon is a good quad. You'll like it.

Your total cost would be $91.00 x 48 which would equal $4,368.00 if you keep the life of the loan.

Being manuel you should have no problems.

Sounds like a good deal there. Those Honda 250 engines will last forever man! I love mine and have never had a minutes problem with it.

Good Luck!

nice choice, youll love it, pay it off when you can, youll want to save the interest... mines an 04 also, check out the pics, and the hitch shouldnt make a difference, there like 30$. I paid $3,104 OTD cash, no warrenty, with a set of lights and cargo nets... i'm not sure how much warrenties cost at all, but you made an awsome choice.

Thanks guys! I just rode it around for a while and opened it up a bit and it is pretty fast. Faster and MUCH stronger than I thought it would be. If I am not careful it wants to de wheel stands. How do you guys tell how many hour or miles you put on them? I want a speedometer that also calculates miles.

You could buy a mileage counter or a really nice speedo for around $70. or so dollars. ( I haven't checked prices in a year or so.)

I had installed a 8 function bike speedo on my Recon. Some might lose info when the battery is changed. Some will not have back lights. I bought my bike speedo for $8.00 on clearance. Extra things needed to install are a larger magnet, extra wire and silicone.

You could also mount a GPS to the bars.
