Default New recon surprised me!

My new 04 recon I got last week surprised the #^$$# out of me today. Today was the first time I have taken it out for a real ride. Took it to my uncles farm and had a blast! Wheelies are nothing for this thing. I figured only being a 250 it would be weak and slow. WRONG, boy was i surprised. This thing is fast and very strong. Went out along a crick (I am a redneck) ans found some serious mud. I figured I would get it stuck but it never spun a tire. Actually the stock tires are amazing to say the least. I TRYED to get it to spin in the mud but when ever I did it would pull the front wheels! What a great first ATV and Honda is top notch in my book. Sorry if I rambled on but I am just very happy!

It should say it in your manual how much weight your can tow, i'm glad to see your happy with the recon it will give you many years of fun and enjoyment. Many people but down littler quad like the 250 and stuff but you never really now until you drive or own one.

I am pleased with mine too. I had to laugh when I got stuck in the same mudhole that my buddy did. He as a big bad Rancher 4X4, and we had the same problem... Stuck in the Slop. Mine was easier to pull out because it was several hundred pounds lighter! My wallet is about half as light as his too!

From the manual 04 Recon(page 37).. Tow weight limit ( combined weight of the trailer and all cargo on it) =500lbs.
Tongue weight limit =30lbs
