sick of ebay scams
#1
i dont know about you guys but i have had it with all the ebay scams. dont these people have anything better to do than sit on a computer all day and steal peoples logins and then try to scam buyers. these hackers are the scum of the earth. maybe if they put as much effort into getting a job and earning there money as they do trying to rip people off they may be pretty successful. i bid on a ds (yea i want two) and after the auction i got these scam e-mails saying the high bidder could not pay and the seller is giving me the second chance program to buy the item. funny thing is though i got three different e-mails from three different people for the same auction. these people are idiots. it has gotten pretty bad on e-bay too. you cant really look at a page of 50 motorcycles or atv's without at least 15-20 of them being frauds. ebay has got to do something. well now that i am done venting tell mee what you think.

I alway make sure they are in the U.S. to start with. Then tell them you want to pay for the item when you pick it up. Most of the scammers will say "it can only be shipped" That is when I stay away from the auction or retract my bid.

Has to get worse before it will get better.
The worse it gets, the more eBay will realize it is costing them money (each listing has a cost to it.) The more it becomes an issue, the sooner they will deal with the issue.
Buying a used quad from the internet to ship to you isn't a good idea unless you know the seller or know someone that can go visit the seller's house and take a look.
Forums are great for that. I think that most of us on here would go out and take a look in our local area for someone looking to buy a quad and have it shipped to them. Just make sure you are reasonable and don't expect us to catch every dent, ding or scratch.

Listen to this one guys....
I put a ATC yes a ATC for sale on the web to sell a year ago for $400 it was a 185s I sold it to a local girl a week later but I was having these people emailing me telling me a story that took 10 minutes to read how they wanted to buy it for a client in USA but they lived in .....country and how they would send me a check in american currency but that person owed them more than what I was wanting so the trouble they would give me more cash but I needed to transfer the extra to them via money transfer...I got so sick of it I started playing their game I have 5 checks here any where from 4K to 8K for a 1981 185s, what funny is I would tell them I cashed it and spent it on bills and they would get verbal with me threatening my life and my family...lol of course I gave a bogus address to them at an old office I used to rent and they would call me when they got something in, of course one way I would get back at the idiots scammers is I told them I would do it only if they would send the check overnight fedex so it would cost them $20 AND THEY WOULD RECIEVE NOTHING, these people need to be taken out to out shed and put a serious a$$ whippin on them they should have recieved when they was a young buck.
Guys here is one of the emails...going back in forth enjoy

at $20 per check that is hitting them where it hurts. If everyone starts doing that we can really put these guys out of business.
You don't have to do anything with the check, just make them send it to you overnight so they have to pay Fed-Ex.
May be a good idea to tell them you saw a gun you wanted so you bought that with their extra money. That will keep them from ever knocking on your door. Not that it would be worth the $20 they lost.
