Default CT Exhaust

Hey all. I was looking at the old Dirtwheels rap. pipe shoot out. i saw that the CT exhaust made 49hp, i was wondering if the CT racing exhaust is worth the 600$ or the HMF for 370$ is better. Is it worth the extra $? thanks.

Ct is one of the best pipes for the rappy right now, next to sparks, HMF is also good but I bet it doesn't produce more power, also consider tha the CT pipe uses discs to quiet down which is different, but Ct would be a nice pipe.

I consider sparks, CT, and yoshi the best pipes out there for the raptor, don't really like dmc.

if you read that pipe shootout the ct pipe used a kandn filter and a pro flow kit with different needles and 170/175 jets
it was the only to do so the others just removed airbox lid

and besides that i dont trust the dyno numbers in magazines i believe they are for the most part inflated

i have the hmf and i like it a lot but i would also suggest the yoshi or sparks pipes
look at it like this anything is better than stock

The CT had the advantage in that they had a prodesign filter on it, but this was part of the kit that came with the CT while other pipes did not include it. All of the pipes were jetted according to the manufacturer specs and the airboxes were modded to the pipe maker's specs.

Testing outside of DW has shown that the Sparks makes less than 1hp more than the CT with everything else being equal. Yoshi and every other mass produced pipe makes less, including the LTE setup.

Well just like someone said, dynos are not always acurate. So I woudn't pay much attentio. This is based on reality.

The dirtwheels test results and dyno graphs can be found Here.

While dynos are not reliable to compare to each other or the same dyno on different days and conditions making multiple runs on the same day on the same dyno does provide good comparison between the items you tested. I would be concerned with the reliability of dirtwheels, not the dyno.
