tires, tires, tires...which one?

I know this topic has been beat to death but here is my dilemma...
I have a 700 twin peaks that needs tires. I typically ride all conditions. Hard pack, rock trails, woods, mud, all of the above. I do like to ride fast, and I want the bike to handle.
I am also planning to plow snow this winter (If we get some).
I am leaning towards ITP mud lites, or maybe Maxxis Big Horns. I am not sure about 25" or 26".
I am certain that I want the ITP C-Series Type 5 wheels.
Any commets?
thanks!

I love those wheels. I stick with everything ITP makes. I got the Holeshots on my V-Force. I just replaced my mudlites with ITP 589 25 inchers. They are bad *** mudders. I go fast with them on and I think they do very well for all out mud tires. Mudlites are awesome. Look at the Blackwaters too. They are a little heavier than the mudlites but still bad *** tires. I had them on my 01 Mojave. Also depends on what ply you want. I got the 6 ply 589's which are basically puncture proof. I don't remember what ply they were but they were still pretty stiff. Good luck with yer choice

Where in Maryland do you Ride? I might have some used but in good shape 26 Mud Lites mounted on stock rims for sale if your interested? IMO, If spending more time on the rocks or hard pack, a radial tire would be a better choise. I think for rougher terrain and the Best all around tire, is the Maxxis Big Horn, But Im a little bias Oh and more then likely Ive tore up most of the others ~coop

I live near BWI, but as you know there are not many places to leagally ride around here. A friend lives off of Solly road in Glen Burnie and we ride the BGE power lines sometimes- but I hear that is risky. I ride Tower City as often as I can. That is where all the rocks are!
I see we have the same bikes. I love both of mine.
Thanks for the input.

I had the 25in Mud lites and liked the tire, but it seemed like everytime I would go out I would get a work out plugin them! Not just the side walls liked plugs!~lol. The 26in seem to be a thicker tire with deeper lugs, But I have really only run them a few times in rough conditions, I mostly used them riding the eastern shore swamps and riding snow. Im a fan of Maxxis and just think they make a better product then Carlisle ITP, Just my opinion. Yep thats the challange with us in Maryland jfcody, If you wanna really wanna ride and enjoy yourself you have to go to out of state and dirve a few hours to get there. I ride mostly Pennsylvania and I use to ride a lot of local Maryland trails! But Spraw and the Law has changed everything! There are some nice MX tracks like Bluediamond and The Landing MX if you wanna get in a little work out. And I know some great local swamp trails out on the eastern shore that I sometimes sneek off to when The wife wants to go to the beach, But its almost the same drive time as Pennsylvania so if Im going out to really ride I just go north. The Good trails just airnt in our back yard anymore. ~coop

Thats funny, I've been running a set of 26" mudlites through conditions that have poked holes in radial tires on other quads and they mudlites are still running fine.

You can look at my pics to get some Ideas of what a few different combos look like mounted on a twin peaks.. I raced a dg equiped BF750 with 26" mudlites and killed it with ease on my P650. I gues thouse things rob alot of power. I like the big hornes but they rob power too just not quite as much. From what you descibed I woukd recomend the Big Horns for the type of use you described.

Hey! I'm in MD too, right around the corner from Solley Road here in Pasadena! Great to see local folks on the board. We got to get together and do some ridin'. I would also be interested in taking a look at those used Mud Lites if they are still available. I am lokoing to buy a set of tires for my BF750 and have been checking the Mud Lites out. I was more interested in 25's but I could deal with mounted 26's for an experiment if the price was right. Let me know!

Thanks everyone for the comments. Unfortunately, I still can't decide on a tire!
These ITP wetlands look interesting. I wonder why they are not on the ITP web site?
I think I have it narrowed down to the mudlites, the 589s, the bighorns, or now maybe these wetlands.
BunnMann- Yea I am from Pasadena- My parents still live off off of Catherine Ave.
