Default General GPS info

Can anyone provide a link, or share some info on the GPS unit?

some of my questions are: is it more than just an arrow, or can you see your path of travel? does i show distance to waypoints? can you name waypoints? can you enter coordinates to a waypoints you want to go to?

thanks, and Happy Honda-days, Joe

If you are talking about GPS in general and not the ones that Honda has I can answer your questions.

#1 Yes, on new units you can download Topo maps or city street maps that looks like any map in the world, just on a 3" screen.
#2 Yes, you can measure any distance to any waypoint.
#3 Yes, you can name the waypoints and assign it an icon.
#4 Yes, you can enter coordinates to any waypoint you want to. With Topo maps this is not nessary anymore. You just point to the place on the map you want to go to and click the go to button.
You can do any of these things and many many more.

GPS is a good thing to have.

If you are in a large area, they tell you where you have been so you can find your way back. They can tell you how fast you are going. They have a trip odometer to help you guage how many more miles are left in the tank. They can tell you your elevation.

I have the Cobra GPS 500 - I love it! What sets is apart from the others is that they can withstand 9g's! and still track the birds in space without resetting. My bro has the Garmin, and everytime he lands after a jump the thing resets, and takes about a minute to find the birds again. Also, mine is waterproof. The rain does not bother it. Plus, I can keep the backlight on and it helps find your way at night too.

More people should have them -
