Hoping someone could help here. Am considering a Prairei 650 '03, dealer has offered it at $6,599.00 with a $7,466.00 out the door. I am in N CA. This seems a little steep to me. Any thoughts. This is my first ATV and will also be buying a Alpha Sport 90 for my kid from the same dealer. The Alpha Sport is under MSRP so I'm ok with that one. Its $1,700.00 with $2,204.00 out the door.
They only have one of the P650 in the "03 so I'm trying to wrap it up asap. any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this a NEW unit? The price is still high, compared to prices in the Midwest. You can buy a 04 Prairie-700(non-camo) for $6200---6350 PLUS tax around my area.
Check Ebay.

Notagain - The '05 650 Brute Force MSRP is around $6500??!! There are big problems with this deal. You really need to do some quick research on the web and in your area before you get totally ripped off!!! If this is an '03 P650, at that price they should be throwing in the Alpha Sport for free.

Wow, thanks guys. I'll go to the dealer and tell him to turn around so I can smack him in the back of da head. It seemed a little high. Thank you all for the assist.

Hey Not Again!
Just a suggestion. Go to the web site of the manufacturer, and click on locate dealer. Pick any dealer in a 500 mile radius.
Get as many numbers as you can and start callin.
Ask for the best out the door price you can get. THen call another dealer.
You will spend a little on Long distance, but I did that, and saved my self 1800.00 on a Prarie 360 4X4.
It helps if you can pay cash or have your own financing lined up before hand.
Dealin on the phone is easier than dealin in a dealers office, your on thier turf in the office, but on the phone your on your turf.
Worked for me!
good luck

Hi Tall Texan,
Thanks, thats exactly what I am going to do right after X mas. This forum just saved me a bundle of money thanks again. I found out even the little alpha Sport I was going to get for my kid was way over priced and I can get him not a 90 but a 110 for about 400 less!!!!!
not again

You're probably set on a new one, but I personally don't think the warranty is worth the taxes. Kawasaki's first response on a problem is 'wear' or 'abuse'. Your dealer can help a lot with this though.
If I can find a good used P700 after Christmas, that's my route. No good reason though, since my old P650 buddy is still in good shape and is a faster, sportier ride than most.....just got the bug I guess.
