Default Predator - Sand Tires

I have a new 05 Predator and am going to be headed to Glamis next month. Which sand tires and size (number of paddles) would be best? Why?

Will any rim work. If I am not mistaken the Predator has a 4x110. Does the offset matter? What is the stock offset?

Thank you for your ideas.

Haulers are about the best paddle tire, they're lightweight. Go with the stock size in an 8 paddle (straight paddles) You need a rim to match the tires size you get, the stock is 9" diameter by 8" wide, the offset I believe is 5" by 3" with a 4/110 bolt spacing. You want to keep it wide for the sand so go with the same offset.

You might want to add a couple teeth to the rear sprocket to help with hillclimbing.....

i have found the GBC sand devils to be a good tire!!! and they are priced great!!!! if your not gonna spend a ton of time in the sand that's what i would go with!! then if you want to get haulers later you'd be able to sell the others for close to what you paid for them JMO for some reason paddle tires on ebay are wortrh GOLD!!!!

Mine work real nicely in sand.......they hook up real hard!!! You'd have to gear down to run em though........They were pretty cheap too, I think........I also have mine mounted on some light weight(red? or black?) label douglas rims.......

Check pics page to see them....

Thank you for the input.

Has anyone tried the Sand Stars from ITP? Those were recommended from one dealership here in town.

I would say the best V-Paddle is the Sand Skate II, much lighter than the Sand Star, but also much more pricey. I run the Sand Devils on my R and the Sand Star's on my wife's KFX. I have run Hauler's but didn't buy them due to price. The Sand Devils work just as good IMO if your bike will spin them hard enough!
