I have called everyone trying to find skidplates for my '05 Ds and cannot find them due to the swingarm change in '05. Can anyone give me some advise on where to order them from? And please don't say "Rockymountain".lol[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

They changed the DS for 05? Thought it was the same as the 04.....besides the orange.

Found this info on a web site ...wasn't allowed to post a link to it. DS???.net

1) All 2005 models use Steel upper A-Arms
2) Baja model discontinued (only Baja X and standard DS now)
3) Baja X model is now Black / Orange instead of Black / Yellow
4) Viper Red DS650 has new graphics, and new plastics with even more red

 

Baja, the '05 did apparently have a change to the swingarm where it was shortened. I have called every single skid manufacturer on the market and no one makes one for the '05 yet. What a bummer.

 

If you go to the site that I somewhat posted above... you will see that in 04 is when they actually shortened it....not in 05. Most places havent updated thier info that the 05 parts are the same as an 04. This is typical with all new models of anything on this planet.

(this has noting to do with your rear swing arm question but...)
However, I have a picture here showing that the 05 does have the aluminum upper a-arms....kinda odd that DS???.net says 05 has steel upper a-arms. 05bajaX

 

they changed the ds swingarm in 04 they made it shorter so if u can find any 04 skidplates it should fit the 05 ds
