installed 400ex advanced timing key
#1
I got the timing key installed, thanks to you guys advice I waited for the gaskets befored I attempted installation. It installed real easy but I have a problem. It starts and idles good but when I get on it and the rpms get up it starts cutting out. I can short shift it and its allright. Im running 91 octane with no airbox lid and a K&N with a 165 main jet I will list my other modes below. It cuts out like its not getting enough air or fuel, the instructions didnt say anything about re jetting do you guys think this is the problem?
2000 400ex
WB e-series slip on 16 discs, WB rev limiter, 13 tooth sprocket, 165 main needle moved down one clip, K&N no airbox lid splitfire plug.

Is it cutting out, or is it knocking (pre-ignition). The WB CDI is supposed to provide a more agressive timing curve. Combine that extra advance with the additional 6 degrees from the new key, and you may have too much advance for the 91 octane fuel.
