Default K&B and re-jetting??

I just got my K&N filter for my son's Yamoto 150. I don't need it any faster, I just bought it for a cleaner engine. Do I have to re-jet or anything. I live in Arizona, and its always 60 degrees or higher when we ride. ANy help would be appreciated.

i have not tried putting a new filter on my 150 yet but i will , you dont need to jet anything from what i read
but use 22-8048pk precharger filter to better keep out dirt from the engine

I bought the pre-filter too. Where we ride is really dusty. I guess I'll try it out next weekend with no jetting.

The best (and probably only) way to tell if your carb's jets need to be tweaked &/or upgraded is a Spark Plug reading.

If a 2 stroke 150cc engine, surf:

http://www.motocross.com/motoprof/mo...lug2/plug2.htm

Sorry, not to sure how to re-jet a 4 stroke engine. Other then tweaking its factory jets to determine if it runs better. Hopefully, others can help us out in this area...

For other interesting info, surf: http://sparkplugs.com/sparkplug411.asp

Hope this helps....
