OK all you Y2K kodiac owners out there how fast are these things really supposed to go?
We have two of them and the best they will do in the arizina sand washes is about 38 MPH. December Dirt Wheels claims thy will do low 50MPH!!! What gives here!!

I've had mine doing 70km per hour(42 or 43 MPH???) on flat road. But that's loaded with full box on the front, back seat with a passenger(about 115lbs), a full tank, and I weigh about 185lbs. Plus my tires are 26"so i was probably going a c*nt hair faster than the speedo said.

Mine does 51 on level paved road according to a GPS. This is with the OE size Bear Claws tires at 4.5 PSI. The more PSI the easier the roll. I weigh 240. It climbs to 38 mph pretty quick and to 48 is slower. I have to put my head & sholders down to get it to creep to 51.
I rarely ride where I can open it up. They are rev limited or we would be floating the valves.

Both of mine maxed out at 48 mph (GPS)on a semi smooth dirt road. Probably could have gone a little faster but ran out of road.
