BLASTER WINS!?
over the weekend i was out watching my buddy ice race, (stock450r cept for tires) and a 240 blaster was there also... that lil thing cranked... off the line it would pull from my buddy a lil... and he would pull jus as hard as the R if not harder out of the corners... granted this blaster was lowered and was wide... if not my buddy prolly would have beat him... my buddy would catch half way down the straits but then the blaster could jus out corner him... jus thot it was funny... i was very impressed by that lil POS blaster.

Actually on the ice is more about suspension setup and hookup than anything else, of course you have to be able to control it. The best rider on poor suspension would need a great deal more power than the atv he/she is racing against that has a good suspension setup. Same deal with a quad that doesnt hook up, or hooks up too much. Track length is a major factor as well; short tracks favor high revving peppy 2 strokes and cornering is most important. On longer tracks 4 strokes can make up time in the straights where they can get into their power.

I can beat a Prairie 700 and Rancher 350 w/ Mudltites on the ice with a studded raptor 80 and a beer in my left hand, its all about hookup and setup.

 

Whats up hozed, haven't seen you hear in a while, well I also got the ESR intake, and found out about it from your pics do thanks I too posted pics, but they are pending. And I went to go race MX on sunday, and a little blaster beat a YFZ. I was laughing.

 

Like i said its not what you ride its how you ride it. if i decided to race kory ellis on a raptor and he was on a blaster im pretty sure he would still win being that he has much more experience.no matter whats in your quad its how u ride it that counts

meh... ive been around... jus started riding gain after 2 months of not... my buddys decided to sell their sleds and get quads again...
