How to clear a 2-stroke filled with gas
#1
I just got my 250r together that I had bought recently from a guy that had taken it completely apart. Tonight I pulled the carb off because I need to put a kit in it and found gas in the motor all the way up to the bottom of the intake side of the head. I found out a couple days ago that the needle & seat was leaking. Looks like the fuel valve is leaking too. What is the easiest way to clear this out?

Wow! I've never had one fill up that much before!
Take the sparkplug out (completely), and crank the motor over slowly till the piston is at the absolute bottom of the stroke. Tip the bike upside down, and see if that helps.

I have toyed with the thought of selling my 88', but it definately wouldn't be for a cheap price!
If you are interested in a 96' Banshee for a fair price, you can PM me.
Other than that, I am unaware of any "good deals" in the area at the moment.

i would just remove the carb and air cleaner and reed cage and just stand the bike on its grab bar. i doubt any gas got in the transmission oil, but id change it anyways along with a new plug and go.
